Compliance Review & Certification Process

A six-step sequence aligned with statutory timelines and Boca Raton acceptance expectations.

1) Intake & Election

We review project scope, valuation, and documentation, then initiate private-provider election materials. This first step is structured to satisfy 553.791 notice and City intake expectations.

2) Plan Review & Corrections

Discipline reviews are performed with consolidated comments and correction cycles. Turnarounds are managed to support statutory review windows and Boca Raton resubmittal practices.

3) Certification of Compliance

Once documents are compliant, GRIP prepares the required sealed private-provider certifications. Package integrity is checked against local acceptance requirements before submittal.

4) City Submission & Permit Issuance

Certification materials are submitted with tracked responses to jurisdiction requests. City review/audit timing under 553.791 is monitored to keep permit issuance moving.

5) Inspections Through Build

Inspection sequencing follows actual field progress and required milestones. Records are maintained to meet statutory documentation standards and Boca Raton file expectations.

6) Certificate of Completion

Final inspection closeout leads to private-provider completion certification. Deliverables are organized for City acceptance and streamlined project completion.

     Coordination Model

GRIP serves as one accountable point of contact across owner, contractor, design professionals, and City staff. That single-thread coordination reduces missed handoffs and keeps compliance documentation consistent from intake to final certification.

     Roles at a Glance

Owner/Contractor: Authorize scope, provide schedule updates, support access.

Design Professionals: Issue coordinated plans and respond to technical comments.

GRIP: Manage review, certification, inspections, reporting, and communication flow.

City of Boca Raton Building Department: Perform statutory acceptance/audit functions and permit authority actions.

Acceptance Basis Under 553.791

Florida law provides that the building department shall accept plans and inspections from a properly qualified licensed private provider, subject to statutory review and audit windows. GRIP’s workflow is structured to satisfy those timing and documentation requirements for Boca Raton projects.

What does the City still do?

The City remains the permitting authority, applies statutory acceptance/audit rights, and controls permit issuance and final municipal records.

What does GRIP Solutions Inc take off your plate?

GRIP Solutions Inc handles code review, correction-cycle coordination, required inspections, compliance certifications, and organized documentation through project closeout.

Fee Structure & Pricing Approach

Project-specific pricing, documented assumptions, and clear scope alignment.

Plan Review

Pricing is based on construction valuation, discipline count, project complexity, and sheet volume. Engagement may be structured as fixed fee or documented hourly, depending on scope certainty.

Inspections

Inspection fees can be set per discipline/visit or as a project package. Scheduling and reporting cadence are matched to the construction sequence and milestone requirements.

Permit Expediting

Expediting is quoted separately based on coordination intensity, portal workload, revision frequency, and communication support expected across departments.

Transparent documented hourly rates are provided with not-to-exceed estimates after plan intake. We also explain how the City’s 553.791 fee reduction can offset a portion of private-provider costs.

What We Need to Move Forward

  • Project and owner/authorized agent details

  • Current construction document set

  • Estimated construction valuation

  • Conditioned square footage and basic project data

  • Scope confirmation: review, inspections, and/or expediting

  • Existing Boca Raton portal/permit info and target schedule
